The 2012 Oracle is a melange of lush aromatics and earthiness that beguiles the soul. Notes of raspberry, black cherry, hints of eucalyptus and dried flowers flood the senses. The Oracle is Miner Family's big boy; a traditional Bordeaux blend of about 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, rounded out with Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and aged 22 months in 60% French Oak. 2012 is an elegant vintage for Napa wines, requiring a little more age to unwrap their acid-driven core, but they are emerging as truly wonderful, more European versions of themselves.
