Finally a California Chardonnay built for aging, the 2013 Horseshoe Vineyard Chardonnay (Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate recommended drinking through 2025 in their last review over seven years ago). The dense orchard fruit and new French Oak have evolved into a harmonious and lengthy symphony of Bosc pears and yellow peaches, joined along the way by roasted Marcona almonds, a hint of sherry and vintage Champagne, yet never losing the lift and focus that resulted from the shale soil and cool temperatures of the high-altitude Horseshoe vineyard.
