The Beringer Private Reserve is one the great, old-school Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Beringer may be known to layman for their large production, affordable Cab, but those in-the-know rank the Private Reserve as one of Napa's Grand Cru; a magnificent, opulent, and structured blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from the best vineyards of Beringer's extensive holdings. The French may twirl their mustaches and turn their noses up at our answer to Bordeaux, but this wine makes me proud to be an American.
